Playing a round of golf at North Halton

Golfers look for variety, beauty, drama, and great conditions.  North Halton has them all.  A wonderful walk and a strong test of golf awaits you for every round.  A lovely parkland style golf course demanding strong shot making and the ability to move the ball in both directions will keep your attention throughout the round.  Our pace of play is generally four hours, and booking is convenient with a fourteen day lottery system booked online.

Opening Nine: The softer opening holes provide for a brief fun start to the round, and you should take advantage of this brief respite.  The fifth hole starts a strong finish to the opening nine holes with some of the more unique holes you have played.  The combination of elevation, bending and sloping fairways, perched greens and a meandering creek await you while you make your way to the ninth tee.  Standing on the ninth with the stadium setting and the Clubhouse in the background, a strong long iron shot over water to a sloping green can introduce anxiety even to the best players.

Back Nine: The back nine at North Halton is a jewel of scenery and golf.  Moving into the valley amongst trees, turf and water is as beautiful as it is challenging.  Holes eleven through fifteen provide variety and movement from the tee to some complicated green sites.  Once you navigate this section, holes sixteen through eighteen will demand strategy and length to play the final par five, par three, par five finish.  Sixteen is for some, the definition of North Halton: long, fair and challenging.  Save some energy to pay back up the hill to the clubhouse and try to push through the climbing seventeenth and eighteenth holes.  You will be rewarded for your focus, strength, and endurance.

Golf is a cultural driver at North Halton and the pride in our course will be evident after playing.
